Trying to find a BRZ
Well. I have decided 100% to go with the BRZ. Seeing as how family owns a few dodge/chevy/jeep dealerships I am not buying new from Subaru.
My main thing is what to look out for when buying one of these used. Any changes to look out for in 2014/15 models? Done a lot of research on here and cant find a ton of problems besides things like noisy clutches. Last edited by tofurun; 05-23-2016 at 11:59 PM. |

I think the biggest changes were between 2015 and 2016. Mainly the different head unit to include the backup camera.
Other than that nearly all the parts are all the same. |

I thought I remember Randy Probst saying they changed the shock dampening on the 2015 model, but double check me.

I still have crickets on mine and I use Chevron most of the time as well. however, they only come up after the engine is warm and it's not that loud to the point of hearing it at a stoplight with the windows down. but I also have UEL headers so it probably masks it lol
as for differences in the 2015's, there are a few such as a different key fob (way better looking IMO), fake CF dash trims, and shark fin antenna among other things. I believe the leaking cam sensor was also fixed in the later models, but don't quote me on that. most of the problems are coming from the early 2013 production models so I would probably stay away from those.

You are lucky as I have seen tail light condensation with some of the 2015 twins here in Canada. For my 2014 the condensation goes away after a wet session once I park the car inside the garage for a bit.
