Anyone have the nav reset? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I've had the BRZ for over 4500 miles, and used the NAV quite a few times. Tonight after work I stopped to talk to a friend in the parking lot, and turned the radio down. when I left, I saw the nav screen was asking me to accept the warning, and going thru the initial setup. My radio station presets and eq presets stayed, but it forgot my navigation favorites and past events.

Very strange. I was wondering if there is an odd key sequence to reset it, since I was turning the volume down, as I was looking toward and talking to my friend.

I have had this happen a few times. For me it has only happened when listening to music from a USB drive. I just figured that it may have been a bad file.

Ah, it was playing from the USB drive at the time, wish I remembered what song was on.

I think it is just an OS crash caused by the bad mp3 file. I will try to find a common link when I can.
