Switching fr-s DRL strip to fog lights

Hello everyone


A few weekends ago the stars aligned and I was able to come home with a slightly used raven fr-s.


Ive been lurking here ever since and find myself doing the mods that I always planned to do to some of my other rides.


Which brings me to my next project which Im hoping to maybe get some help on. I have the dealer installed led drl strip that Im wanting to switch out to the more traditional style fogs. The leds are currently set so that they can be on with no other lights on, but dim when low beams are on (don't remember about parking lights).


I have found the resistor box(think that's what its called) that has been put under the dash to the left of the clutch, and I think I see the blue wire going to the fire wall.


Does anyone know if I will be able to reuse this wiring to make it a fairly simple splice in job? While I like the fogs, I just cant seem to justify spending the extra cash to rip all that out to put something else in, when I could put it towards something internal.

No you won't be able to re-use the wiring from the LED DRL fogs for your new fogs...It's a different harness altogether.
However, the wiring is very straightforward so the only hassle is getting the wire through the firewall which isn't too tough if you tape it to a screwdriver and push it through

Let me know if you need any help installing as I've installed both on my car (DRL fogs and OEM style fogs)
