How to size wastegate

How do you size your wastegate setup? I'm running a Turbosmart comp gate 40 paired with a GTX3076R and seeing consistent boost creep under WOT.

I am only running spring pressure of 7psi, but by the end of a WOT run, I have creeped to 10psi.

Also I have worked this out in my head, but an EBC wouldn't help with this either right, because once the EBC opens up, we're going to be essentially wide open WG?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure an EBC should prevent boost creep but I could be completely wrong...

Try a smaller spring in the gate.

7psi is way low on a gtx3076. Probably going to be hard to get it to not creep at least a little with such low boost. A manual boost controller without a gate ball/spring might work too if you plan on even running a controller. Let's the wastegate start to crack open just before full pressure

I do plan on going to higher boost, so it may be wiser to just install the EBC and run at say 9-10PSI to start?

I would think this should help the WG.

Like a 5PSI spring and letting it creep to 7 or 8psi?

I would think that the lower the pressure, the more intense the creeping will be.

The idea of a softer spring is to get the gate to open farther so more gas can by pass the turbine. Softer spring could compress more allowing more flow through.
