Running 245/40/18 on 18 x 8.75 +33?

Is anyone running this setup ? and if so do you have any pics? I'm getting me wheels mounted on Wednesday and want to make sure my tires fit. I plan to go FI next and want a wider wheel, but want to make sure it will fit and doesn't look ridiculous. Thanks!

look in the xxr wheel thread. 245-40 is on the tall side. 245-35 is a better choice.

yes because 245-40 is too tall. 245-40 is for 17's, your setup will be a full 1inch taller. Throwing your speedo off, and possibly rubbing slightly(1inch less clearance). Some people like that size for the bubbly/meaty tire look, some like it to make the tire/fender gap smaller. Look through the whole thread, or "search this thread". Also try using a tire size calculator to get an idea how off it will be.

I'm running that exact size wheel and tire except an offset of +35. The 245/40 is a little tall appearance wise. Should have stuck to my original size which was the 235/40 My speedometer reads about 4 mph slow as well. The combo even in the slightly less aggressive offset rubs, but I'm dropped around an inch and a half. When I have a chance I'll post a pic.

Thanks, sorry I don't know shit about tires and wheel sizing. I thought that a 235/40 and 245/40 would be the same height and just that the 245 would be wider lol

I'd appreciate it man! Looks like most tire places that do mounting and installs don't carry 245/35 and if they do the selection is terrible. I guess I could order them from tire rack and just have them mounted. Was hoping to just get it all done at once though.

Yeah, I got the Conti Extreme Contact DW's and they were $15 cheaper per corner in the the 245/40 than the 235/40. Thats what made my decision for me. The height difference isn't really much at all, but I notice it and it irks me a little bit.

That's the best shot I have right now.

according to this they'll fit but looks like the front will poke. I can't find any actual pics though.

245-35, I think this is fitting with rubbing. Sometimes you will rub depending on the tire brand, but overall it will give you a better look in the front (in my opinion)
