Twins vs. Genesis coupe 2.0t?
I know the positives on both sides, but I want to hear your opinions.
I don't really care about the numbers on paper, but rather things like: Driving comfort, interior, overall quality of parts, design, weight and how it affects the daily driving, MPG, etc.

There's gotta be like 6 threads like this by now...
The FR-S will lose in about every category besides funability, looks, and mpg. The Genesis is more practical, turbocharged, and it's gotta be more comfortable. FR-S= raw shell of a well balanced sports car. I describe it as a supercar handling with half an engine. The Genesis is less raw and more for touring. More comfortable, grocery getter. It just depends what you want. If you really plan on hooning at break neck speeds around corners, then get the FR-S. If not, get the Genesis. |

The gencoupe is more grand tourer'ish. Too fat for my liking though. The shifter is garbage as well. But for a street car and comfort, it decimates the frs. A have my frs and my bro-in-law has a gencoupe 2.0t. We pretty much agreed that I have the race car and he has the street car.

There are so many threads on this. I would recommend going back and reading them. Some of us have owned both and, in short, they are very different cars that cater to different things. It will come down to the individual and what they want from a car. They really are very different cars.

The Genesis was on my short list and I favored the BRZ in the end due to the truly awful comments about the Genesis transmission and shifter. Driving is more important than groceries...but then again, I do the groceries for a family of four every week in my BRZ and I can get every thing in the trunk. As the guys say...personal choice and depends on your priorities.

A. The Genesis 2.0T Coupe has been scrapped. Sou outside of whats left sitting on dealers lots there wont be anymore.
B. Outside of power and cabin space the Genesis loses on everything else. C. The Genisis Coupe is a SEDAN with 2 doors missing. The FR-S is an actual sports car with 2 rear seats thrown in to make insurance cheap. |
