I'm pretty sure the colour will fade/chip off no matter how expensive the nut is

any advantages using aluminium nuts beside the weight?
alot of people dont like them because the threads wear out easily

any good brands out there or are they all the same (a nut is a nut?)

U will be able to buy socket only on amazon. Aluminum nuts are not strong enough. If u r going to remove then frequently, u might ruin the thread one day. Spline drive is two- pic design, which protect ur rims. Also the paint last long.

I have the McGard spline drive w/lock set. Amazon had a pretty decent price on them.

Spline drives.... not for security reasons, since anyone with the spline socket can remove all the nuts, but because they are durable and the washer base seems to make it easier to tighten on alloy wheels than regular lugs.

I wouldn't use aluminium just because the weight savings are negligible, and even if you were saving two pounds, it's all at the centre of rotation and you would be better served buying lighter tires or wheels.

Ray's racing lug nuts. $100 for a set with wheel locks. They are durable as hell and I've removed them at least 10 maybe 15 times now. Love em.

If you got a set of $8000 wheels, if they really want them, they will take them anyway.
