Chasis adhesive

I was trying to source a rattle (found it, ended up being a stripped bolt from the factory that I'm going to have to retap) and noticed the adhesive on my chasis has completely separated in some spots underneath. Has anyone else run into this issue?

I'll post pics later, I've used imageshack in the past, and it looks like it's no longer free to host there

Adhesive on the chassis? Pics of what you're referring to?

Mine looks exactly the same, I've also been curious if it's going to be a problem long term.

thanks I'm not too sure how the adhesion process cures on our cars, but there are many manufacturers whom have started exploring this route.

Is it possible to shine a light into those holes and see it inside the cabin (with the interior panels removed, if necessary)?

not sure, I'll be able tot ry and take a look at it in a couple weeks, been swamped with work. If so, that can be a huge liability, especially for rust if there's untreated metal on one side

For the sake of how bad it does look I would take it to the dealer that way it is at least documented, if they choose not to fix it and something happens...

Oh, I'd say if it bothers you ..... just patch it up with some silicone sealer.

thanks I'm not concerned with the looks of it, more or less just the structural integrity of the car. I plan on tracking it and addinga turbo in the next few months. I'm not an engineer, but I imagine the body would not be able to handle quite as much torque if the adhesion was compromised.

That's seam sealer, not adhesive. It's not really there for structural strength...
