Boost Controllers, what are people using

Ive been reading around through various threads and it seem people are going in all different directions with boost controllers. So I wanted to try and get some info in one place. Im currently putting together a turbo kit for myself and am not sure what way to go. The standard style manual boost controllers seem to be popular but I like the ability to have hi/lo settings. The TurboSmart eBoost2 looks super nice but I feel like thats something a tuner is going to have to dial in and that seems like it may complicate things if I end up with a remote tune.

Thoughts?

I used the Grimmspeed MBC and a GFB G-Force II EBC. They both produced similar boost curves with the EBC being a little bit better. The top dawg in the MBC world is definitely the Hallman Pro. Most of the EBCs use a similar solenoid so you are really just paying for extra features on the controller box that you mount in the cabin.

in my experience, I have had the best luck running the Hallman MBC.

For electronic, I've run blitz untis, turbosmart, greddy units, etc.

My favorite was the profecB, but really what king Tut said is spot on.

I will be using a Hallman MBC, because I have no need for the EBC.

Nice, so its seems the two routes are. Solenoid controlled by the ecu, or a "standalone" style be it manual or electronic.

This is fun, I've never boosted a NA car before so its definitely nice to start with a blank slate.

I'm really liking the idea of a ECU controlled boost controller. Will make it easy to switch between boost settings with proper tuning. Very cool.

Same thing for me. I've had several turboed cars before, but this is new.
