Techstream/ECU customizations

Hey guys. I recently got a cheapo cable from China to change the settings of my ECU for the minor stuff like car arm beep, how long the dome light stays on, etc. It's pretty quick and easy to do. I'm thinking that I'll start bringing it to any meets, but if anyone wants to meet up (even not at meets) to get some changes then I'd be happy to help out. I'm only doing the main customizations as I don't know how nor do I want to mess with any advanced stuff. But yeah. Just putting this out there!

that is awesome of you to offer. Would be nice if you could provide a full list of the customizations that you can do with it.

It's not that big of a deal haha. I can/am only willing to customize what they show inside the manual. Here are a few pages. This is from the BRZ, but most everything is the same thing anyway.

One thing they don't mention, but I can change is disabling the seat belt beep for either driver or passenger. Other than that that's about it. Nothing huge, but it's something since I've seen some threads of people saying that the dealer is charging for changing these things which seems stupid to me. I figure help out other peeps if I can!

the only thing on there that I think I would want to do is make it so both doors unlock with one press of the unlock. So many times I go out to my garage without the key and find the pass side locked.

Disabling the pass seat belt beep, will it still function properly when there's someone there? I hate I have to put that seatbelt on when I have backpack on it.

I doubt it. It goes off from your backpack because there is no way for the computer to know if it's a real person or not. So it's either on or off for that... Sorry man.

Yeah, it just disables the sound. I got mine turned off and it otherwise functions the same in terms of the pass airbag on/off light on the center console.
