Whining noise
https://imgur.com/gallery/SelK2Vh
I got a whining noise from the engine bay and i'm curious on what it is. it doesn't do it while driving to my knowledge but when i come to a stop its very noticeable. I think i got it in that video. Im thinking maybe power steering or maybe a bad belt/pully? any help would be great. |

Getting the sound with the hood open standing in front would help.
It sounds like "crickets" which is common sound twins make due to the high pressure fuel pump. It could also be a work belt or pulley. |

Sorry Jynx, I can't hear anything except your car's exhaust -
![]() If it is a belt or pulley, if you take tension off the idler (tension) pulley and take away the belt, then see if it is still making that sound, that may help isolate the sound. |

I hear nothing out of the ordinary other than a couple of very brief crickets. If that is as bad as they get I would not worry one little bit about them.
Your power steering is electric and doesn't make the noises of yore.

Maybe it's the muffler bearing going out.
How many miles on the car? |
