Which model do you think will sell more? AT or MT?

Just like I said for the title of the thread. Which model do you think will sell more? The AT or the MT?

+1

I wouldn't call it cute. It is handsome to me since it doesn't look feminine or childish.

Sadly, it will be called cute. All it takes is being small and not ugly.

sadyl this car will be purchased by a bunch of girls just like the Celica,
but I'm sure that the real enthusiast will purchase manual.
I love how you can't have the WRX in AT.

Means girls will see "oh cool car" then manual then "nvm". I wonder if we will see an AS1 with eyelashes on the headlights?

Agreed. Funny how just about every coupe/roadster is considered a girly car now. Celica, miata, tc, hell even a 350. Geez.

I see your point, but c'mon, the Z is called the Fairlady in it's home country.

Vehicles are always women though. Ships, planes, cars. Whatever. They're female.

The AT will sell more, I think. I'm curious about the proportions though.

I could care less, because I will always buy a manual tranny, unless they ever come out with a dual clutch tranny that is substantially faster than the manual tranny like Porsche does with their PDK tranny.

True. As for proportions: 60% AT/40% MT

As is typical, enthusiast early adopters it will be disproportionately MT biased. As said, as time progresses it will be majority AT as the masses become aware and cross shop it. Luckily for all of us, the only car we have to worry about is our own.

the First 86 registry would indicate quite the opposite. It's at 80% manual, 20% auto.

Of course they are a select portion of the demographic, but they have also been selected based on what allocation was coming over on the boat, so I would guess mostly manual.
