Mach V BRZ / FR-S Muffler Delete Pipe REVIEW

Mach V BRZ / FR-S Muffler Delete Pipe

So we picked up our BRZ recently and right away wanted to start testing some quality parts. Mach V was one of the first company's to send us some parts. The first part we tested from them was there Muffler Delete Pipe. The first thing that you will notice is that this pipe is significantly lighter than the stock axle-back. Here is how we break it down.

Pro's:
Manufactured in USA
mandrel-bent
TIG-welded
stainless steel
Weight- 2.95 pounds (you save a whopping 23.1 pounds)
Cost- This is one of the most inexpensive exhaust options available for these cars.
Fitment- Bolts in place of stock axle back. Uses stock hanger as well as stock gasket (however you may need to replace the gasket)
Sound- The sound quality is amazing. The car is not too loud daily driving, yet when you WOT it roars much more than stock.

Cons:
Aesthetics- 1 small tip vs stock 2 tip (For the weight and the cost of this piece this is easily over looked) They are also developing a Dual Tip replacement now which would be a good option for those that this bothers.

Overall impression is this is the best bang for the buck exhaust available for the BRZ or FRS available as of our testing.

These are available through Mach-V and all of there re-sellers.
