Unhappy Window rubber crack after 1 month

This is from my friend's FR-S, the rubber at the front corner on passenger side came apart about one month after he got the car. Anyone who is experiencing the same? Not sure it is a rubber quality problem or the part was too tight fitted.

I have the same issue on the driver's side. There is another thread on this somewhere and it prompted me to stop by the dealer yesterday. They were quick to order the part and will call to arrange an install appointment as soon as it arrives.

Every time I look at this picture I find myself at a loss as to what I'm looking at. It looks like silver bubble gum leaking out underneath the black plastic. It just looks so odd.

Me ! Look the link posted in my reply.

Took a week or two for the replacement.

We catched the problem before the crack appeard, the window was cleary forcing the rubber up the craking was inevitable.

Yup, the small glass and the rubber come in one piece. For now everything is fine no more overstretch rubber. So far so good

My dealer called today and the part is in. I just need to make an appointment to get it done. One week to the day for the part...better than I expected.

So any pics of what it's supposed to look like? Any way to adjust it yourself?
