Help installing back up camera

Hi all, I purchased this back up camera off of ebay, I know I'm missing something. The camera end has a black and red cable, i tied the red one off and grounded the black one. I plugged in the long black male end to the black female end (4pins inside). I ran the cables through the appropriate areas, but no video.

Is the red wire a trigger? To be connected to the backup light?

Do a search for back up camera. You will get multiple install threads.
On an FR-S you also need to install a reverse trigger wire. See my install here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...5&postcount=20

Thanks, I noticed that every video seemed to include a reverse back up wire, there was no mention in these directions. This must not be a popular kit.
