Performance Package STI Discontinued Brembo?

Hello, I'm in the process of installing Performance Package Brembo Brakes on a non-brembo BRZ and was told I wouldn't be able to purchase part number 26261FE000 caliper bracket / tie bar front

https://www.subarupartsdeal.com/part...6261fe000.html

That bracket is required for installing the front brakes but wasn't included when I purchased my PP Brembos.

I also tried speaking to a few Toyota dealers and was told they have no ETA and aren't sure if they will get them again Toyota part number SU003-06297 caliper bracket / tie bar front

https://ibb.co/6HjM1w5

https://ibb.co/b5mRvHr

https://ibb.co/BBnvx6z

I also tried purchasing them online but was told Subaru no longer makes the bracket. Is there a reason they stopped making the Brembo bracket but still sell the PP Brakes?

Is there any other option to use an alternative manufacturer or custom-make something?

Thank you for any help!

I had issues a few months back tracking down the dust shields for the Performance Package Brembos. They were listed as discontinued on all the US Subaru/Toyota parts sites. I was able to order them from Amayama. I believe you can get them from most other direct JDM parts sites as well.

I am kind of curious if it actually does anything other than reduce NVH and take up length on the bolt.

Before I had them in hand I assumed they were a bracket or were used to space the caliper somehow, which they are not.

I think you're right on with them being just to reduce NVH.

FWIW, some 2nd gen BRZ folks have mounted the calipers to the new aluminum knuckles without that piece using shorter STI bolts, and they seem to work fine. Seeing as that's apparently the way they're mounted on the STI, it makes sense.

Only comment I've seen from a couple posts is that they might be a bit noisy, which would suggest your thinking is right. EDIT: I'd guess the STI doesn't have the issue because of the front drive axle stuff being attached being enough of a damper that it doesn't need that piece.

FYI - the part number for the STI bolts is 901120103.

eBay, Junk yard? A seller on eBay has them, a little pricey but better than having a set of brakes sitting in your garage.
