Hello,
Just checking to see if someone can fill me in on the differences positives/ negatives on lower chasis braces. 2 point versus 4 point (H-brace) . I have a 4 point H-brace on my xA that I installed over 5 years ago, it was a $60 deal on ebay made of aluminum. I did notice a tighter /stiffer chasis after installing (less flex) , more solid feel. I'm wondering if there is any negative /trade off in doing an install of a chasis brace. Thank you

What are you looking to brace exactly?
I like the strut tower braces and the crossmember braces although they do add nvh. Bracing the rear subframe is not common, and people typically do bushings instead. Steering rack brace is also a great options. A 4 point will simply have more mounting points than a 2 point, but cause more NVH. The only 2 piece crossmember braces I can think of are TRD (solid red metal) and STi (flexible draw stiffener) |

What is NVH ?
The 2-point brace I was referring to, Buddy Club makes them ( check on ebay, they are made of a tubular steel I believe). I think it's just a simpler set up versus a 4-point H-brace. Even if you get two 2-point braces, that will help with some rigidity, but not as much as a 4pt H-brace ( it's like a Rombis shaped, or basically has triangular points, that help the chassis retain its rigidity. I was mainly wanting to know the advantages / disadvantages of both. Is it more common to do once the car is lowered, to help with chassis rigidity?

Thanks for the info, that makes sense.
I think I may go with the 2-point braces then. Sorry, it wasn't Buddy Club, but DC Sports : https://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Sports-L...53.m1438.l2649 I haven't seen / or read specs on the TRD version, but probably not a lot of difference between TRD and this DC Sports ( it's a static component part). I'll look into that steering rack brace , see what info I can get on it

If you're not going to run all solid bushings between the control arm and body, these braces probably aren't going to do much.
In all honesty, unless you're doing it for the bling they're a waste of money for almost everyone.

Thanks for the tips.
Yes, the H-braces I saw (Cusco , Tanube) , were for the front. I think I'll back off this idea. If I was Auto-X driver, it would be a different story. 2019 , I'll probably do springs , and the Aero under panels , and call it quits. Thanks again
