720 Form GTF1 BBK fitment??

Hi all,

Just been wondering about these specific wheels and the brake kits that could possibly fit them. I already have these wheels and will be looking into getting a BBK in the future(no real date exactly). After looking around a bit, didn't really find anything with these specific wheels when it comes to BBK fitment, so figured I would ask here if anyone happens to know and before I get into research.

Thanks

Most BBK companies will let you print out a template to check for fitment. Maybe I'd start there?

I haven't had the time as of recent, as I have only recently started looking into BBK's, but I will definitely be doing that as part of the research. The only other part to that though is I don't know what brands/kits to really look at, so it would really just be looking at all until I can narrow down to a select few that are even compatible with the car.

Brands I know of so far: Brembo, Wilwood, Stoptech...

Function over form. My reasoning for wanting a BBK is because of potential weight savings and better braking for light/casual track. It's an end goal, not really a right now sort of thing...

AP Racing makes at least 3 different kits for our cars. Two of those kits (Endurance/Factory) save 5 lb per corner, and one of them (Sprint) saves 10 lb per corner.

IIRC I've heard mixed reports for the 17x9 +35s GTF1s fitting over BBKs due to the profile of the spokes. I know they fit over the RR Racing and Wilwood kits because I test fit a set myself but I've heard there may be interference with AP Sprint kit. I can't speak about other kits but like others have said, print off some templates and you should be able to tell what will fit and what won't.

Cool cool, I have the 17x8 though, but I doubt it would make that much of a difference in how they sit over the brakes.

I'd say go through a set of track pads first and figure out if you even need a BBK.

Unless you're running more than a 10 lap session at an HPDE event, you'll be fine as far as heat goes with a proper track pad.
