E-Break light coming on?

Hey guys, so I was driving earlier and I had to come to a quick stop to turn because someone was giving me bad directions, not gonna name names.... but anyway, while braking my ebrake light turned on. I've never seen it before I was just wondering if it's normal. I have an automatic 13' FRS. Thank you!

Check Brake fluid level the light may be dual purpose brake fluid level and also E brake off switch.

E-brake light came on during braking for me every time my pads were worn down below 30% or so. Im willing to bet its the same for you. I've gone thru near 6 sets of front pads, light comes on every time without fail when they were down and due to replacement.

First thing I'd do is to check the E to see if in fact you did break it.
