Irritating windshield fog issue!

Hey, whats up guys!

So I've been having this problem on my used fr-s i recently got ever since it has gotten cold and started raining. There would be fog/condensation on the exterior of the front windshield, and it is irremovable until it gets hot outside again or stops raining. I've tried using hot air, cold air and holding the interior air as well and nothing works. Also using the wipers doesn't help at all, when the fog starts to fade wiping it slightly makes it reappear. Nothing seems to make is GO AWAY.

Also whats really weird is it isn't a clear coat of fog, but it has spots all over the windshield. Is there any products i can use to eliminate this? Is the issue with the wipers?

This is very irritating because it is very hard to see at night. And this never ever happened on my previous civic as well as my dads car. When these cars get fog on the windshield it immediately disappears once the switch in turned on.

I would try clay barring the glass then polishing it.

If this is truly on the outside then cleaning is in order.
Windex will not get all things off, you could start with alcohol first then other solvents like brake cleaner. then a slightly abrasive cleaner like rainx glass cleaner made for glass.
I like to use rainx as the water will bead up and blow off at speed but will need the wipers at slow speed.
if this is on the inside, then again cleaning is in order but the beading will need the defogger or a wetting agent like rainx defogger. I am not a great fan of this as it will leave a film and can streak

Not the wipers. I've seen similar. Have you first tried to just clean really well with glass cleaner and newspaper?

Thanks for the fast replies guys! Its is definitely on the outside of the windshield.

Its been almost 2 months and I haven't yet cleaned my car or any glass, because when i bought the car the dealership took the car and detailed it while i was doing the paperwork, so I assume they cleaned everything including removing dirt on the whole car.
I'm kinda new to this type of cleaning as i haven't ever used a clay bar so i'm not sure how to use it as well as know a detailer which i thought was for paint only. Im kinda skeptical about using brake cleaners on my new glass because that sounds a bit too harsh.

Do you guys know any great products to use on my windshield to really clean it well and remove all dirt, without having to use multiple products.

If I don't find any products that are better ill go ahead and use rain x, but i was not too satisfied with the results on my last car because although it bead the drops at high speeds, it caused my windshield wipers to start skidding because of the coating which last only a while.

Plain alcohol from any drug store, newspapers or micro fiber towel.
Clay bar is easy to use. It's just spray that's use a a lubricant then it's a clay bar. Rub it till its smooth. Repeat
YouTube it. It's easy.

My guess some one used a wax on the windshield.
Nothing a bit of elbow grease won't fix.

Like a couple of guys said hit it with some high test alcohol ( rubbing, not 40 year old scotch) and then a quality glass cleaner.
Sombody has waxed or used a glass treatment like Rainx on it and you need to strip that crap off. I used Rainx once and after a while it did exactly that. Was a pain in the butt.

A clay bar is easy to use, just purchase a kit from any auto parts store and follow the instructions.

Definitely looks like wax (or something) on the glass... clean that off and you'll be good.

So guys I went out and bought an invisible glass spray. Hopefully when I clean the car tomorrow this will eliminate the problem. Anyhow thanks for all the advice!

Rain-X is great. It cleans off all sorts of glass crap. You just have to wipe multiple times with clean clothes to get the thinnest coat that isn't foggy. Water really does sheet right off, too.

pre-owned? Looks like someone sprayed some hair spray-like stuff in there.

I'd wipe with normal water, dry, wipe with alcohol [99%], vinegar, then clay if that didnt help. Looks nasty.
