Question 2016 BRZ MT Ecutek DTC issue

Hello all,

I’ve had my BRZ tuned using ecutek for a little over 3 years now. Recently I had it retuned to support the addition of a flex fuel kit which is when I noticed something strange under the DTC tool page. In the ecuconnect app, in the DTC tool section, under transmission it says “ECU not detected”. I’m not sure how long this issue has been present as I haven’t checked my DTCs in quite some time. After flashing the new tune, the ECU did throw the code U0100 “Lost connection with ECM/PCM ‘A’” however the tuner said that’s normal when flashing and after clearing my DTCs it has not come back. The car seems to be driving and shifting fine and the tuner is going to be done with my first tune revision within the next few days so I’ll know if everything looks normal there.

I reached out to Ecutek already and am waiting on a response but I wanted to throw a post up on here to see if anyone has an insight on what may be causing this.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the DTC screen showing the issue. The ACON DTC is the B14A1 ghost code which I can never get rid of.

Thanks in advance

If you're in a manual transmission, there's no ECU for the transmission.

Haha yeah, idk I figured considering how many things are connected to the ECU that the trans would have some signal but I guess not. Just a switch that relays the gear😅
