I have a very hard time distinguishing what is leather and what is not in the interior of the vehicle.

Please elaborate on your description, so I can maintain it properly. Sorry for the difficulty of a stupid question. ^_^

steering wheel and door panels are real

shiftboot and ebrake looks synthetic

There is only one area confirmed so far: steering wheel (from the book). The other areas... I really have no idea. It is so hard to tell.

As Hamza said, the "leather" in most new cars is now protected with a urethane coating to make it easier for owners to maintain. Regular vacuuming ( get the crud out of the stitching as well ) and a wipe down with a MF towel and water or a light cleaner is all it needs. A couple times a year, use a quality leather cleaner. Conditioning these coated leathers is not necessary.

One thing to note is, the leather on most cars today isn't really hide. Atleast the part your touching, they get a whole bunch of hides, primer them grey and then colour them to which ever colour is available in the catalog or what the customer chooses and then basically clear coat them. Something like a clear coat, basically it laminates the colour in.

Don't worry about "feeding" them with nutrients to keep them from fading and what not to keep them looking good. Regular cleaning will do.

Curious if conditioning anyway will do any harm? Or some good? Or just no good no harm at all?
