Wrap exhaust side pipes on turbo?

Would it be beneficial to wrap the exhaust side pipes coming from the turbo in insulating wrap to try and keep Temps under the hood down?

Any reason this would be a bad idea?

Want to do it now before I install to make life easier. Thanks!

Not yet. They appear to have some sort of coating, but I'm not sure. I'll ask works Tuesday.

Are you talking about the turbine housing or downpipe? I have a DEI turbo blanket and header wrap on my manifold/downpipe/overpipe but I've had it wrapped since the beginning so I couldn't give you a before and after. It seems to help...I haven't had any issues with anything nearby melting or warping.
