Damp rid and an Oxy Clean based upholstry cleaner, like Turtle Wax upholstry cleaner.

At least it was just diet coke and not regular coke.

Holy shit. 52 oz is a ton. Don't you wish you got the more sensible 20 oz now.

In all seriousness, I would use a wet carpet vac attachment to vacuum it up as much as possible.

Be careful with the alcantara. After you've dried it out, you can use a damp towel and blot. Not all cleaners are safe for it.

Actually, try lifting the coke, rather than airing it; i.e.: towels.

No way you'll get all the sugars out. I recommend removing and cleaning all panels, or reupholster the fabrics. Hopefully you missed any wiring since that shit causes a havoc.

I would place a clean towel over the area and place something like a large book to absorb. Naturally protect the book if that is chosen. Once absorbed as much as possible then blot and clean according to the material. Rubbing may mar the upholstery.

You're lucky it's diet. No real sugar. No stickiness. Not as bad as you're thinking. I'd blot it up, blow lots of air on it, warm preferred, and hope for the best. Chemicals at this point will probably make it worse.

Diabeetus McGee....

I spilled homemade lemonade on mine...well xgf. What she did is soak it up asap ever so lightly so the liquid wouldn't get into the seat, used a vacuum hose to suck in the bit that did go through, then use a interior foam cleaner like:

Finally, she air dried it then steam dried it with one of those mini vacuum steam cleaners.

I would have just sprayed it with mild mild mild dish detergent (safe enough to wash puppies) and vacuumed it out. Then again her hands have always been handier than mine when it comes to detailing.

If you lazy, just soak it up, then use lukewarm water. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I pressed out as much diet coke as possible from the carpet & had AC on MAX blowing for a good 4 hours before I turn it off.

It was literally flooding in my car & my heart sunk.......Good thing It's not sticky or I just totalled my car no joke. Now just hope the Vegas Heat will completely dry it out today... =.=

Strangely there was no smell yesterday... I guess I will know today after I cooked it in the sun. ........ Probably have to take the floor carpet out & wash it or replace with new one in future.

Note: It was just spilled on the floor not the chair.

In all seriousness try steam cleaning the carpet. after everything is dry look underneath the carpet for any soaking. Pray to god theres no incoming rust.
