There's been a lot of arguments about screwing up the syncros when shifting like that. Usually the proper method to do it is like:

4th gear
clutch in
put it in 5th gear
put it in 6th gear
clutch out.

And supposedly that'll save your syncros.

I'm not a mechanic or anything. I've just read this multiple times in different places.
