Mine didn't even get my hands dirty, clean as a whistle. If there was anything to be sprayed off you'd at least expect a thin film of oil deposits on the housing. I may well do it in the future but for now it's not a worry.
@PumaUK7 I wouldn't bother with a reset, I didn't when I did mine.
