This will not be the correct method for bypassing a Pioneer unit. If you are getting a pioneer nav unit check out the avic411 forums. For those you need to move the mute wire on the rca harness and ground it.
If it is a non nav unit you just put a toggle switch on the parking brake wire and when you want to use VIM flip the switch.
