There is a big difference between an Automatic transmission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and a Dual-clutch transmission it's kind of like the difference between a piston engine and a wankel engine; same purpose, very different mechanically. The paddle shifters in the FRS/BRZ have much more in common with the auto in your moms minivan than the "auto" in a GTR or 458.
Although to be fair, the McLaren Mercedes SLR has a traditional automatic. And I think there were some others but can't recall at the moment. But yeah, most are either DCT or automated single clutch like a race car.
