I've tried both, and yes. No state tax, no emissions checks, you can shit without the state coming to inspect it, and you're allowed to defend yourself if need be. California is awesome, don't get me wrong. It's a great place to visit (I go to mammoth every year), but they have no concept of personal freedom or individual responsibility. They banned aluminum baseball bats for Pete's sake. It's a case study in reactionary politics.
Florida is humid, flat, and has lots of fire ants. You can't win them all lol.
Texas is, in my opinion, the best of both worlds. The best of all worlds, really. If I had my choice is be there
. So Texas > florida > Cali > everywhere else, IMHO lol.
