A little update for the Cali guys, I've been running the 89 oct stock map with Timing In after hearing @
ML and @
blkwrxwag experiencing better performance with the lower octane map, and to my surprise my car has been running smoother with the 89 oct map. Throttle response feels noticably quicker in the low rpm range. Gears 1 - 3 seem more torquey. However, everything above 3500 rpm feels the same as the 92 oct stock map. So this 89 oct map feels really good for normal daily driving. And this is all with Chevron 91 gas as it is what I normally fill my tank with. But two days ago, I filled my gas with Shell vpower 91 just to see if theres any difference, and with it my car seem to feel more...inert. I mean it's not boggy, but it's not as responsive as with chevron. And to my surprise, I haven't heard any HPFP chirping with Shell as I normally would hear.
