Negative camber is a function. = negative camber improves grip when cornering. This is because it places the tire at a better angle to the road, transmitting the forces through the vertical plane of the tire rather than through a shear force across it. Another reason for negative camber is that a rubber tire tends to roll on itself while cornering. The inside edge of the contact patch would begin to lift off of the ground if the tire had zero camber, reducing the area of the contact patch. This effect is compensated for by applying negative camber, maximizing the contact patch area. Note that this is only true for the outside tire during the turn; the inside tire would benefit most from positive camber.
He likes form over function. You don't need to set-up any fr-s, 86 or BRZ to these specs to go out and drift.
Negative camber is the only way anyone could fit a 10" and 10.5" under the factory sheet metal. 6" of negative camber with offsets at +12 and +17 isn't functional for daily driving.
He is crazy low. These cars start life crazy low from the factory. That's kinda the point. We have a lower center of gravity than a Ferrari. All you need to do is get springs and voila, you are even more crazy low and entering supercar territory. He is only a couple inches off the ground. The only way to go lower would be bags and scraping.
This kinda helps prove the point -
Don't get me wrong. I love his set-up, appreciate the skill and craftsmanship that went into it. If I had silky smooth JDM roads to ride on daily I would consider a set-up this agro.
My current set-up:
Even he knows that it's not a functional set-up and is in the process of having a wide fender kit put on. He had the fronts on at the messe.

what I was trying to say was that in this case he isn't losing the ability to do what he wants to do with his car just because it is slammed and cambered out...I know what people use it for and I understand what you are saying but I am just pointing out that its not like hes hard parking his car...because it works functionally and it looks good imo as well. Which is where I was coming from with the function + form comment...not trying to start a fight or an argument because I'm not an expert by any means..just sayin..he looks like he kills it with this setup so you can't really say there is no function to it..
and these cars don't really come out crazy low from the factory..lol yes the center of gravity is amazing but in terms of ride height and clearance it seems pretty average to me...Maybe I am used to slammed cars and when I looked at mine at stock height it was an eye sore...
