Simply swapping HID bulbs and ballasts in a halogen projector may not be the best way to go. Many halogen projectors I've seen have light bleeding above the cutoff and adding HID bulbs will simply increase glare for oncoming drivers. It would be best to do a complete retrofit which includes HID projectors. And for the color-lovers, clear lenses.
