Exactly what he said. They need to know about this issue. By bringing your car to the dealer you are helping expand the dataset of the engineers solving our problems. The better data they have, the faster we get TSBs.
my dealer resealed this plate earlier this week. I picked it up and for a few hours the smell was terrible. I'm guessing more oil spilled out during resealing, or the sealant itself was curing.
Less than a day later, the smells *seems* to be gone. there is still some smell at high rpms, but it is nothing compared to the burning smell there was before.
I'm not 100% convinced its solved (yet), but almost there.
