what makes you think a $25-27k car is gonna have a better or at least equal handling as a $32-35k one? or more comfortable per say? the VQ engine is designed to be a high rev engine. just cuz the Z is heavier, it doesn't mean it can't rev more freely than a lighter FRS.
you pay for what you get. it's just simple as that. FRS should only be viewed as a RWD civis si or RSX

The FRS has 4 seats, is lighter, is cheaper, gets better MPG. It ought to handle as well as the Z (if not a bit better) while being more tossable. It might have a nicer shifter and better steering, rev more freely, and be more comfortable (i.e. not beat you up as a daily driver).
370z Advantages: It has more power everywhere (much more low-end) and has a hatch.
