I know for sure that this is not the case because most tires will have anywhere from 8-12/32nd's of tread depth and that equals 6.35mm to 9.525mm of tread depth on brand new tires. The only time the tread depth gets greater for cars would be for snow tires. My brand new BFG Mud Terrain KM2's have 20/32's of depth new and that equals 15.88mm.

The difference in height would either be tire size, 215/45/17 (24.7" diameter) compared to 225/45/17 (25" diameter) would be .3" or 7.5mm or the ride height of the two cars could be different due to springs etc. I highly doubt that they are going to use two different shells/unibodies for the different versions. It would drive up cost of production too much for a relatively lower volume car (in comparison to Corolla/Impreza, etc)

Until I see official releases from Toyota/Subaru for the USDM, I'm not counting on anything that comes out through these leaks etc. It's not that I don't love all the info coming out recently, but I don't want to get disappointed when something doesn't make it across the pond.

The counter on the top is this page is moving too darn slow!
