Cost could be the same where you lose metal in block bore is added in pistons and crank for 2.4L. A 2.4L block on the currents heads would easily hit 180tq and depending on valve sizing and the flow characteristics of the heads you could produce 220/180 without flinching before head work and tuning commences.
I mean it should only drive the MSRP up another ~$1k x 13000 units. I think it would cover costs just fine. It would then satisfy both n/a and probably turbo lovers maybe even
me for a good bit.
