They are run extensively prior to leaving the factory so there is no real benefit with either 1 or 2. I would suggest the Mototune method or just keep the engine loaded for the first hundred miles and then change the oil.
Oh I completely agree... I would rather pick and choose every option myself.

And I was speaking of more like race motors I kinda posted that as a generalization, didn't mean for any misunderstanding fellas... You are correct, the motors are run and tested after the build.
