You probably shouldn't be mashing the throttle repeatedly on an unloaded engine. It's tuned on a loaded engine where it doesn't spin-up as fast and there is time for the engine controls to retard knocking. Does it knock just as bad at highway speeds when you mash the throttle with the car in gear?

For me it doesnt matter if im standing still or driving the noise still appears.
