The STI pistons just have small and weak ring lands. For the FA20 they look to be a lot thicker. Much thicker than I was expecting from what I've seen of Crawford's findings. Apparently the ring lands were made thin for better emissions on the STI, but the DI on the FA20 helps enough so they can run much beefier pistons... or so it looks to be the case. The pistons look decently stout for a reliable 400whp.
