But... if its a hydraulic dual clutch setup with paddles, doesnt reduce fuel economy or performance and it costs the same as the manual... I'd probably go for the auto instead.

it will certainly be classic AT... but modern ones these days have lockup control so you dont lose any performance or economy.
but in any case, it will be more expensive than manual.
