So get this car for the times when you are not going biking, and get a $2000 beater that can carry 4+ adults and the bikes for when you are going biking?

I mean, for me, 90% of my driving there's only either me, or me + adult, with a rare short trip giving a 3rd a ride somewhere. The other 10% of the time when I've got to carry 5+, or carry big items somewhere, or go camping - I got a $5,000 Honda Oddysey that does the job brilliantly and in comfort. It's not very sporty to drive at those times, but the honest truth is, you wouldn't be driving "spiritedly" in those situations anyways.
