I've done some searching online and I can't figure out where to even start re: checking the cruise control wiring and components.

Is there a repair manual I need to be looking at?

Is there a computer in the car that logs events, e.g., why the car thinks the cruise control should have been disabled? And if so, what kind of device would I need to read such a log?

Thanks in advance. This problem is getting worse so I appreciate any information.
