Its been said a million times. The sound tube is ugly. Removing it cleans up the engine bay. And any aftermarket intake is going to have superior sound than what the sound tube is able to produce. You are going to hear the intake more under the hood with an aftermarket intake than what that little sound tube is going to give you.
