The point here isn't to set up a real car through trial and error in a sim of that car, the point is for the person to understand the kinds of effects each setting has. If the person has a general understanding of how a stiffer sway bar might affect handling, then they will be better able to identify whether they desire that effect on a real car. Additionally, there's no accounting for comfort, feel, or even rough roads in a sim so there's still a lot to learn in the real world. It's just there's a bit less to learn than before messing around in a sim.
