Yep, that's how I got a 3060ti, took about 10 months. They seemed to have the best purchase system back on the worse days of supply issues. We will never know how many they reserved for their waiting list and how many they sold in bulk.
At the same time, they even made more money from their top tier program where you basically had to spend an X amount of money in order to get first dibs on their list, which can be translated to what Walmart+, Best Buy Total Pro is.
It sucks to lose one of the best customer services for GPUs and pretty solid quality, like I said, is business, and business wasn't doing great once demand fell and supply recovered.
