Now, their track is fairly tight, which favors precision and light weight, which is probably also why the Camaro ZL1 1LE only bested the Camaro SS 1LE on Cup2s by a half second. Probably also why the Golf R was four seconds slower than the CTR.

Agreed, though Cup 2 tires only helped the CTR LE go 0.13 s faster than the other CTR. (naturally different days affect things but still, difference should be much larger I'd think).
