Within the first 10 minutes of the first episode I had the thought of how much all of it looked exactly like what was in my head when I listened to "Killing Floor".

I've read a few Jack Reacher novels although my favourite was Killing Floor. I thought the writing style changed a little in subsequent novels.
From what I read one of the loudest criticisms of the Cruise movies was the physical build of Cruise. Jack Reacher was something like 6foot4, 120 kgs (forgive my mixed units) all muscle. Tom Cruise was none of these.
