Unless the pan is actually cooler than the air around it, you are doing more harm than good insulating it. So unless your headers are unwrapped and/or uncoated and almost touching the pan, I think it will actually hinder the oil temps. Also stuff like gold foil tape helps only agaisnt radian heat, which you would have none of if the headers are wrapped, but actually hinder the heat dissipation thru the air contact (as you've just added another layer the heat needs to travel thru, and further temperature inside is required to reach the same dissipation outside).
