From product dyno testing with a 15 WRX with this same setup, we'd generally see a 20* difference from the OEM sensor to the sump, with the sump being the colder of the two.

By "sump", I assume that you mean oil pan? Is the 20* difference due to pressurization of the oil or because the oil galley is hot from the engine's heat?
