Yeah, I'd prefer the old style handle as well. I wonder if this is one of those small things they did to try to bring the cog lower? If so, I'd still prefer the old style handle.
While we are griping about the interior, I am also not in love with the center console lid. I know the old one did not even have a lid on it, but I was able to get an aftermarket armrest that was pretty great. I can't do that this time.
